Fertility in Romania and Moldova: Exploring the Dynamics, Determinants and Impact of Social Policies \u2013 is a joint bilateral research project, carried out by researchers from the University of Bucharest in partnership with researchers from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the fertility transition in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, investigating trends in reproductive behaviour, as well as the social, economic and cultural factors that influence it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scope is to discover the main factors responsible for persistently low fertility rates and the differences between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project analyses the impact of demographic policies on population dynamics in the long and short term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project’s results will allow policymakers to develop a set of intervention tools in the social and demographic field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
